The Darakum is one of the few ships on the Nile authorised for the long-season Cairo–Aswan itinerary, covering roughly 870 kilometres, which it sails from mid-February through mid-November. From mid-November to mid-February, when Nile water levels change, it switches to the shorter classic route: a 3-night cruise from Aswan to Luxor departing every Friday, and a 4-night cruise from Luxor to Aswan departing every Monday, both taking in Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna.
