Royal Mummies and Coptic Cairo Tour – Tour Details
Meet the pharaohs
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat holds the royal mummies moved from Tahrir in the 2021 parade, among them Ramesses II, Seti I and Hatshepsut. They lie in a dimly lit underground hall, with the main galleries upstairs telling the story of Egypt from prehistory to today.
Coptic Cairo
A short drive away, the old Roman fortress of Babylon holds the Hanging Church, the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, where tradition says the Holy Family sheltered, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.
