Luxor to Aswan by Road with Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples – Tour Details
The cruise route, by car
If you are travelling between Luxor and Aswan without a Nile cruise, this is how to see the two temples that cruises stop at on the way. The drive takes around four hours in total, plus the visits.
Edfu
The Temple of Horus at Edfu is the most complete temple in Egypt, with its pylon, courtyard, hypostyle halls and sanctuary still standing.
Kom Ombo
A rare double temple, shared by the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris, set on a bend of the Nile. The small Crocodile Museum beside it holds mummified crocodiles.
